Denver. To visit or not?!

As a frequent traveler, I have had the pleasure of visiting Denver, Colorado, several times over the years. Denver is a beautiful city with plenty of things to do and see, making it an ideal destination for families seeking a fun-filled vacation. However, like any other city, Denver has its pros and cons, which are worth noting before embarking on your trip. In this post, I will highlight the good and bad issues that Denver has to offer.

Firstly, Denver is a beautiful city with a stunning skyline that boasts numerous skyscrapers and architectural wonders. The city's stunning view is best appreciated at night when the city's skyline illuminates the Colorado sky with a beautiful display of lights.

Denver is also a gateway to some of the country's most beautiful natural wonders. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing, and mountain biking in Rocky Mountain National Park, located just a short drive away from Denver.

Another great thing about Denver is its diverse culinary offerings. The city is teeming with a range of restaurants, from high-end eateries to street food vendors, serving cuisines from all corners of the world. Denver's food scene caters to all tastes and preferences, making it a food lover's paradise.

Denver is also known for its craft beer scene, with numerous craft breweries located throughout the city. Visitors can take a brewery tour, taste some local brews, and learn about the unique brewing process that has made Denver a hub for beer enthusiasts.

However, like any other city, Denver does have its downsides. One of the main issues facing Denver is its traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. The city's streets can become gridlocked, leading to delays and detours that can put a damper on your vacation plans. Another is Denver is a Democrat run city in a Progressive Liberal State Government. Crime and homelessness are a massive problem in Denver. You won't be able to travel anywhere in the city without running into homeless camp throughout the city. With the defund the police sweeping across deep blue cities and states, crime is rising at an alarming rate. The threat of any type of criminal activity towards you and your family is still somewhat low but is a very real possibility because of bad politics and politicians in the greater Denver area.

Another issue that visitors might encounter in Denver is the city's high altitude. Denver is known as the "Mile High City," with an elevation of 5,280 feet above sea level. Some visitors may experience altitude sickness, which can cause headaches, nausea, and shortness of breath. Visitors are recommended to acclimate to the altitude by drinking plenty of water and taking it easy during the first few days of their stay.

In conclusion, Denver is a beautiful city with a range of attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. Whether you are looking to explore the great outdoors or indulge in a culinary adventure, Denver has something to offer. However, the city's traffic congestion and high altitude are factors that visitors should keep in mind when planning their trip. With a little preparation, your family vacation in Denver is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
